Kankya Gerald has a seven years human rights work experience. He has performed several roles in human rights work. Before working with TLC, he worked with a community based organization that targets poor communities to enhance their entrepreneurship knowledge and skills for two years. He has ever since served as the programs coordinator for TLC for five years. Gerald is an award winner of the European Union Human Rights Defenders Award in 2012. Gerald has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University and a masters of Arts in Ethics and Public Management from Makerere University. Gerald also authored a documentary that was showcased at the Common Wealth the documentary was titled “Where culture and gender meet and the value of culture in development.”
Amanyire Simon has 7 years of human rights work experience. He has performed several roles at different levels. He served at Kaahwa Kafuzi Bwiruka & Co Advocates as a legal assistant and researcher before joining active human rights work with TLC in 2008. Simon has been actively working with TLC in different capacities. Simon has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management Studies from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and a Bachelors of Legal Laws (LLB) from Uganda Pentecostal University.
Kirungi Maureen has a two year human rights work experience. She has been serving as an accountant at Twerwaneho Listeners Club from 2012 to date. Before joining TLC Maureen worked as a manager at Ruwenzori Diocese Saving and Credit Cooperative Society 2007-2008. She also worked as an administrator at Kabarole information center 2009-2011. Maureen has a diploma in Information Technology Business from Uganda institute of Information and Communication Technology (UICT), a bachelor’s degree in Business Management Studies from Mountains of the Moon University specializing in accounting.
Kansiime Evelyn has a one year human rights work experience where she has been serving as a communications officer in TLC from early 2013 to date. Before joining TLC Evelyn worked as a commerce and entrepreneurship teacher at St Paul’s College Secondary School in 2010-2011, she also worked as a direct sales executive in DAJ Communications Ltd 2011- 2012, and worked as research assistant with Triple s and SNV on a water and environmental conservation project Kasese, kyenjojo, Kabarole and Kamwenge Districts in 2012. Evelyn has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management Studies specializing in Procurement and Logistics Management from Mountains of the Moon University.
